What is the diet for patients with periosteal reactions?

A periosteal reaction usually means that there is destruction or damage to the bone. Histologically, an increase in osteoblasts in the inner layer of the periosteum can be seen, resulting in the formation of new bone trabeculae. Periosteal new bone produced by increased activity of osteoblasts in the inner layer of the periosteum in pathological conditions. The periosteal reaction is not specific and is commonly seen in inflammation, tumors, trauma, subperiosteal bleeding, etc. It can also be seen in normal growth and development stages. Patients should pay attention to their diet: 1. Reduce the intake of acidic food.       Normal human blood is weakly alkaline, with a pH value between 7.35 and 7.45. Within this range, the physiological functions of the tissues are normally performed. The acidity and alkalinity of food does not mean that the taste of food is sour or sweet, but that the end product of food metabolism in the body is acidic or alkaline. Rice, wheat, sugar, wine, fish, meat, poultry, eggs and animal and vegetable fats are acidic foods, the end product of their biological oxidation in the body is carbonic acid; some foods containing more sulfur and phosphorus, such as proteins containing methionine and cystine and phospholipids, because in the body will be oxidized and decomposed into sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, it is also an acidic food. Alkaline foods are vegetables, fruits, potatoes and seaweed (nori, kelp and seaweed, etc.), which are rich in potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and other alkali metal elements, metabolized in the body to the ionic state and the combination of ammonium carbonate in the blood, thus increasing the alkalinity of the blood. 2, the dietary structure should be reasonable, preferably with light, light, vegetarian, whole.       If the main food is rice and noodles, 1/3 of the total diet of each meal, 1/3 of the vegetables and 1/3 of the fruits can be avoided to avoid the acid production of non-vegetarian food and increase the burden and damage to local tissues. 3, in the diet to achieve three low: low fat, low sugar, low salt.
