Is it normal for the uterus to be backward?

If the uterus is leaning back, the uterus may be posterior. Normal uterine positions are anterior, horizontal, and posterior, which are normal. Posterior uterine position can usually be detected by ultrasound examination. Anterior uterine position is common, while posterior and horizontal uterine position are relatively rare. Under normal circumstances, the uterus is anteriorly tilted and anteriorly flexed, i.e., the entire body of the uterus is tilted forward, and the angle between the longitudinal axis of the uterus and the longitudinal axis of the cervix and vagina is less than 90 degrees. Posterior uterine position, in which the entire uterus is tilted backward, is also normal. Horizontal uterus is in between and is usually seen in pregnancy. If a woman is not feeling well, it is recommended that she consult a doctor in a timely manner to complete the relevant examinations and make a clear diagnosis under the guidance of a specialized doctor.
