Whether or not a patient can recover after surgery for acute cerebral infarction is mainly related to the size of the lesion and whether or not the surgery is successful. If the lesion is small and the surgery is successful, the patient can resume self-care, otherwise there will be sequelae such as disability. Surgery for acute cerebral infarction includes percutaneous endoluminal angioplasty for intracranial and extracranial vessels, endovascular stent implantation, craniotomy and decompression of part of the brain tissue, and so on. 1. After the surgery for acute cerebral infarction, if the defect of brain tissue is not serious, the surgery is successful, the blood vessels are reopened, and then after active modern rehabilitation and other treatments, it is possible to restore self-care functions. 2. After surgery for acute cerebral infarction, if the patient’s brain tissue damage is more serious or the surgery fails, it is possible that the patient will be left with different degrees of sequelae, and the patient is unable to take care of himself/herself. After surgery for acute cerebral infarction, early and active rehabilitation treatment can reduce the disability rate.
