A broad-based polyp in the stomach means that the patient has a wider and larger base of a gastric polyp, which usually requires submucosal resection. Polyps come in a variety of forms, some are wider at the base, some are smaller at the base, and some are classified as pedunculated polyps. For smaller polyps or polyps with clitoris, removal can be done by wire loop ligation or other methods. For polyps with a wide base, coil ligation is more difficult, and submucosal excision is generally recommended if excision is needed. In addition, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital regularly for follow-up gastroscopy to find out whether there is any local recurrence of polyps. If the patient has a wide base polyp in the stomach, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in a timely manner, under the guidance of the doctor to carry out targeted treatment, in order to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
