Why do you get gout?

Different types of gout have different causes. Gout can be categorized into primary, secondary and idiopathic according to different causes.
1. Primary gout: primary gout accounts for the majority of cases, caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors, which may be due to uric acid excretion disorders, and may also be triggered by excessive production of uric acid, as well as purine metabolism-related enzyme defects.
2. Secondary gout: the causes of secondary gout include hematologic diseases, renal diseases, drugs and lactic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis and other organic acid overproduction, etc., of which the common hematologic diseases include multiple myeloma, lymphoma and so on.
3. Idiopathic gout: the cause is unknown.
It is recommended that gout patients go to the rheumatology and immunology department of regular hospitals for consultation, to identify the causes and standardize the diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of doctors.
