After treatment, most patients with new crown pneumonia can recover completely, including the inflammation of the lungs. 80% of patients with common and mild forms of the disease are able to return to normal imaging after a period of symptomatic treatment and absorption of the viral pneumonia, without leaving any sequelae. In some patients with particularly severe lung inflammation, there may be residual problems of pulmonary fibrosis after treatment, which may affect the patient’s ability to work and physical strength to a certain extent. As long as there is no progression to respiratory failure, the vast majority of patients can achieve full recovery. At present, long-term observation is needed for the seriously ill patients, especially after rescue treatment, follow-up information and clinical observation are needed to clarify whether there are sequelae after recovery, which is still subject to further clinical observation.
