Uremic facial features

In uremia, there will be some characteristic facial changes due to kidney failure and abnormalities in water and salt metabolism, hormone metabolism and electrolyte metabolism, and active substance metabolism. The first thing you see should be anemic appearance, because the decrease of erythropoietin after uremia will cause anemia, and the patient you see should be anemic appearance. Uremic patients do not sweat, because hormone levels, sweat gland secretion will be reduced, the skin appears dry, sometimes there will be flaky, scaly peeling performance. Because of abnormal hormone levels, uremia may lose its luster and lack of moistness, and some of it is hyperpigmented and may have an itchy feeling and dry hair. Because of the effect on water and salt metabolism, uremic patients may sometimes also have this manifestation of swelling and hypertension.
