How laparoscopic surgery is done

Laparoscopic surgery is a common method for performing gynecological surgery, which is minimally invasive. Laparoscopic surgery is indicated for acute gynecological abdominal conditions, such as ruptured and bleeding ectopic pregnancy, ruptured and twisted ovarian cysts, etc. Pelvic masses, endometriosis, infertility, and uterine fibroids are all indications for laparoscopy. The procedure of laparoscopic surgery is performed under general anesthesia. After the operation starts, carbon dioxide gas is injected into the abdominal and pelvic cavities to create a space between the pelvic and abdominal cavities to facilitate the operation, a puncture device is placed through an umbilical incision, and the operating lens is placed into the abdominal cavity to connect the camera system. The operating instrument is then passed through another puncture hole into the abdominal or pelvic cavity to find the lesion, and the operation is performed under the guidance of the lens.
