Illustration of vascular skeletonization

Many parents and friends are confused about the “vascular skeletonization method” to remove tumors, especially neuroblastoma that encases and infiltrates large blood vessels. In fact, the blood vessels are completely dissected out from the tumor as if they were bones, so that the tumor can be completely removed. A few pictures are selected to make the meaning clear. Figure 1, neuroblastoma, surgical resection section in an outside hospital Figure 2, tumor and dissected out part of inferior vena cava divided tumor and right kidney illustrated in surgery. The residual tumor wrapped the inferior vena cava and the abdominal aorta. The left renal vessels are completely wrapped by the tumor, which is the key to surgery and the most difficult part of the abdominal aorta and left renal vessels to the hilum Figure 3, complete dissection of the inferior vena cava, abdominal aorta, left renal artery and vein through vascular skeletonization, complete removal of the tumor Figure 4, the tumor completely wraps the abdominal main Figure 5, the abdominal aorta, abdominal caval artery and its branch arteries and superior mesenteric artery, branch, superior mesenteric artery, inferior vena cava, and renal blood inferior vena cava were pushed to the right upper canal skeletonized after resection of the tumor.
