Left epididymal head cyst may be due to epididymitis, gonorrheal urethritis, epididymal tuberculosis causes and so on.
1. Epididymitis is mostly due to retrograde infection. Some patients have a history of scrotal injury, usually with sudden onset, scrotal pain, obvious swelling of epididymis, obvious tenderness, accompanied by high fever and other symptoms.
Treatment includes timely bed rest, drinking plenty of water, while avoiding sexual intercourse, can take antibiotics such as quinolones such as ofloxacin.
2. Gonorrheal urethritis can also cause the following symptoms. Gonorrheal urethritis is usually caused by Neisseria gonorrhea. The main manifestations include redness, swelling and itching of the mucous membrane at the urethra.
Treatment includes ceftriaxone as the first choice, and oral medications such as cefixime, ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin are also available.
3. Epididymal tuberculosis can also cause such symptoms. Epididymal tuberculosis usually starts at the tail of the epididymis, and the mass is usually painless; occasionally, in acute episodes, the epididymis may become markedly swollen and painful.
Treatment should be standard anti-tuberculosis therapy; if abscesses or sinus tracts have formed, epididymectomy should be performed.
For specific causes and treatments, one should consult a doctor at a regular hospital.
