Current treatment for wet macular degeneration 1.Drugs: anti-VEGF drugs, glucocorticoids, herbs to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis. 2.Ordinary laser photocoagulation, lesions located outside the central recess can be used, there is scar formation after laser, and it has impact on vision or visual field. 3. TTT laser: used to treat lesions with recurrent attacks and where the retina has been damaged. 4.Photodynamic therapy: In 2000, the U.S. FDA officially approved the treatment of retinal macular degeneration, and in 2005, China began to use it in clinical practice. The treatment selectively closes the neovascularization, with little damage to the surrounding tissues, and 50%~70% of patients have stable or progressed vision. 5.Surgical treatment: It can remove the bleeding and take out the neovascular membrane, but generally cannot improve the vision.
