Can chronic gastric atrophic gastritis be completely cured?

Chronic gastric atrophic gastritis is usually difficult to be completely cured, but some patients can get effective relief of symptoms after active treatment.
Atrophic gastritis is a chronic disease of the digestive system caused by multiple causative factors, mainly due to Helicobacter pylori infection. Patients often have symptoms such as epigastric discomfort, pain, fullness and bloating, which can also be accompanied by loss of appetite, acid reflux and heartburn.
Early stage patients can effectively relieve their symptoms and even eradicate H. pylori infection by removing the undesirable causes, developing good dietary habits, and following the doctor’s instructions for a full course of medications such as omeprazole, amoxicillin, clarithromycin, bismuth potassium citrate, aluminum thioglycollate, domperidone, and so on.
However, if not treated in time, atrophic gastritis can be complicated by gastric hemorrhage, gastric ulcers and pre-cancerous lesions, which can seriously affect the normal physiological function of the stomach, and even life-threatening, then it is generally difficult to be completely cured.
It is recommended that patients with atrophic gastritis follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized medication and treatment in a timely manner to avoid delays in their condition.
