What should I do if I have a sore throat and a runny nose?

If a pregnant woman has a sore throat and runny nose, she should first go to the hospital for blood tests and electronic laryngoscopy to find out the cause of the symptoms. Most of the symptoms are caused by acute rhinitis and acute tonsillitis, mostly caused by viral and bacterial infections, and patients may have fever, dry throat, itchy throat, yellow nasal discharge and nasal congestion. When the patient’s blood is checked, if the white blood cells are increased, it indicates a bacterial infection, and the patient needs symptomatic anti-inflammatory treatment, and can take oral cephalosporin and penicillin antibiotics in pregnancy. If it is a viral infection, it can usually heal on its own. Patients need to drink more warm water, pay more attention to rest and eat lightly, and they can gradually get better in a week or so.
