How to defecate when the patient is bedridden

Patients need to be absolutely bedridden in clinical work, such as patients with deep vein thrombosis of lower extremities, pancreaticoduodenectomy, and patients in the early postoperative period after hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma. There are also some patients who are unable to move freely on their own and are bedridden for a long period of time, such as patients with cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction and other sequelae, with muscle weakness and hemiplegia. If the patient is conscious and has the urge to defecate, the patient can add a potty and place it under the anus. If the patient is unconscious and does not know when to defecate, nursing sheets can be laid on the bed and changed after the patient has defecated.
