How to treat gallbladder polyps

If gallbladder polyps are found during physical examination or ultrasound, a comprehensive assessment should be done according to the patient’s age, size and location of gallbladder polyps and whether there are gallbladder stones formed. Details are as follows: 1.Gallbladder polyp less than 0.8cm: younger patients can choose to observe and review ultrasound regularly; 2.Considered cholesterol crystals: can consider cholestatic treatment, after ursodeoxycholic acid or step long gallstone lithotripsy tablets can be reduced; 3.Patients with gallbladder polyps larger than 1cm, asymptomatic or symptomatic can consider surgery; 4.Polyps with non-cholesterol crystals: if they increase rapidly, surgery can be considered. Gallbladder polyps are benign lesions, and if there is no combination of obvious clinical symptoms as well as their small size, you can choose to observe them regularly.
