Seven-flavored Du Qi Pill is effective in tonifying kidney qi, astringing semen and stopping spermatorrhea (consolidating semen and preventing spermatorrhea), and is used to treat the syndrome of the kidneys’ inability to contain qi (dysfunction of the kidneys that prevents the incorporation of gases).
Seven-flavored Du Qi Pill is composed of Zedoary, Schisandra, Chinese yam, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Mudan Pi and Poria, and can be used clinically to treat wheezing, shortness of breath, fatigue, chest tightness, prolonged coughing, dryness of the throat, night sweating (sweating abnormally after falling asleep, but sweating stops after waking up), spermatorrhea, and frequent urination due to the inability of kidney to absorb qi.
Note that cough and shortness of breath caused by feeling external evils should not take Qiwei Duqi Pill. The adverse effects of this drug are not known.
