The heart and the stomach are located one above and one below, with the heart on top and the stomach on the bottom, separated by the diaphragm. First of all, the heart, which belongs to the circulatory system, is the center of the body and is located in the mediastinum of the chest, between the two lungs, which corresponds to the area between the 2nd-6th ribs and the 5th-8th thoracic vertebrae. There are 2/3 of the heart in the midline of the body and 1/3 in the left side, it is like the size of a person’s fist. The stomach, on the other hand, is below the diaphragm and is connected to the esophagus above and the small intestine below. It is one of the largest digestive organs in the body and it usually takes several hours for food to be digested. If there is too much food in the stomach, it will also relatively cause a decrease in blood to the heart area, because most of the blood that is concentrated to the stomach can facilitate digestion. So, sometimes eating too much may reflexively cause insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle.
