In the early stages of Parkinson’s disease, drug therapy is generally more effective, and we call this period the “honeymoon period”, which lasts about 3-5 years. However, after the “honeymoon period”, we find that even if the drug dose is increased, the treatment effect is not so obvious, and side effects and complications gradually appear. In addition, idiopathic tremor, dystonia, Meige syndrome, etc., are not ideal for drug therapy, and pacemaker therapy is a good choice.
