Can you feel perianal cancer?

Perianal cancer, i.e. cancer around the anus, can be palpable, with squamous epithelial cell carcinoma being the most common. Perianal cancer will have lumps of different sizes, which can be manifested as persistent pain in the perianal area, and a small amount of blood in stool can be seen in the early stage, and the amount of bleeding gradually increases with the progress of the disease. Anal fingerprinting can touch the lumps of different sizes and hardness, and some of them are cauliflower-like or ulcer-like, and bleed easily when touched. The lumps gradually increase in size, the foreign body sensation in anus is also stronger, and the frequency of bowel movement increases. Although perianal cancer can be touched, the early appearance of blood in stool is easily treated as hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoidal bleeding is usually painless, bright red blood stool with large amount, while perianal cancer bleeding is on the low side and can be associated with perianal pain and discomfort. Therefore, once there is unexplainable perianal bleeding with pain, it is necessary to go to regular hospitals in time to improve the relevant examinations to make a clear diagnosis and give treatment as soon as possible to avoid delaying the condition.
