The pain in the chest muscles may be caused by the following reasons: First, it may be related to exercise, such as doing some strenuous exercises on the chest the day before the pain, for example, after doing push-ups or chest clamps, which leads to the accumulation of lactic acid in the chest muscles, thus stimulating the local soreness and pain in the muscles. Second, people who often do some physical exercise on the chest may cause strain on the muscles in the anterior chest area, or local aseptic inflammation and pain. Third, after excluding the cause of muscle, it is usually some other soft tissue problems, such as just thoracic costochondritis, costochondritis, or intercostal neuralgia affecting the muscles of the chest, but also some pulling discharge-like pain of the muscles.
