The Guilai point is an acupoint of the foot Yangming Stomach meridian, four inches below the middle of the umbilicus in the lower abdomen, two inches from the anterior midline. Since the Guilai point is located in the lesser abdomen, it can treat diseases of the lesser abdomen as well as diseases of the pelvic organs, diseases of the urinary system, and diseases of the reproductive system. In clinical practice, it is often used to treat dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, uterine prolapse, and leucorrhea in women, as well as hernia and penile pain in men, and pain in the lesser abdomen due to cold and blood stasis. The Guilai point has good therapeutic effects for unfavorable urination, and for frequent nocturia and constipation in middle-aged and elderly people.
