There are many proprietary Chinese medicines for the treatment of spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with slight movement) with excessive sweating due to deficiency and coldness of the lungs and spleen, such as Yubingfeng Granules and Zhongzhong Yiqi Pills.
1. Yubingfeng Granules is composed of Astragalus, Atractylodes Macrocephala (fried) and Fenghuang. It has the efficacy of consolidating the epidermis to stop sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the muscle epidermis), invigorating the spleen and benefiting qi. It is used for treating deficiency of lung, spleen and qi, non-solidification of the surface (weakness of the muscular surface leading to abnormal sweating out), pallor (white color and lack of luster), spontaneous sweating, excessive sweating, malignant wind, and deficiency of qi for colds and flu. The adverse reactions, contraindications and precautions of this product are not clear.
2. Tonifying Zhong Yi Qi Pill is composed of Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae, Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae Praeparatae, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae Praeparatae, Rhizoma Pinelliae, Radix et Rhizoma Chai Hu. It has the efficacy of elevating Yang and lifting the sunken organs, tonifying the middle Jiao Qi (treating Qi deficiency by tonifying the spleen).
It is used for prolapse of anus, diarrhea, yin ting (prolapse of uterus or even out of vaginal opening in women) caused by deficiency of spleen and stomach and sinking of middle qi (deficiency of spleen and stomach qi, with manifestation of sagging of internal organs), with symptoms such as fatigue, poor appetite, drowsy limbs, abdominal distension, prolonged diarrhea, rotting of stools, prolapsed uterus, sagging of anus or prolapse of anus. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this product are not clear. Precautions: contraindicated to eat indigestible food, cold and fever patients are prohibited.
