If conservative treatment is not effective, lacrimal duct irrigation and dacryocystoplasty can be considered, and we usually start treatment after 2 months of age. We found that early lacrimal duct irrigation and lacrimal duct exploration are more effective than late lacrimal duct irrigation because prolonged inflammation of the lacrimal sac can easily lead to adhesions in the surrounding tissues, bleeding during the operation, and not easy to be explored.
