What are the main things you look for in a routine blood test?

Physical examination blood routine mainly looks at the red blood cell count, white blood cell count, platelet count, hemoglobin and other values.
1. Red blood cell count: refers to the number of red blood cells per unit volume of blood, if the value is low, it suggests that there may be anemia, if the value is high, it suggests that there may be dehydration, pulmonary heart disease and so on.
2. White blood cell count: refers to the number of white blood cells per unit volume of blood. A high white blood cell count suggests the possibility of bacterial infection, while a low white blood cell count suggests the possibility of viral infection.
3. Platelet count: refers to the number of platelets per unit volume of blood, which is mainly related to coagulation function and is helpful in clinical diagnosis of hemostasis and thrombophilia.
4. Hemoglobin: It is the main component of red blood cells, and a decrease in hemoglobin suggests that anemia may exist.
Physical examination of blood routine and hematocrit and other items are also very important, the results should be given to the clinician in time to see if there is any abnormality.
