Lung-clearing tea refers to the use of lily, rehmannia and other lung-clearing medicines brewed water to drink instead of tea, which has a certain health effect.
Commonly used Chinese medicines that have the effects of clearing the lungs, cathartic fire and moistening dryness include lily, bamboo, rehmannia, Chuanbei, Zhebei, and so on.
Lily can moisten the lungs to stop coughing, clear the heart and tranquilize the mind (by removing the inner heat to stabilize the mind); bamboo can nourish yin and moisten the lungs (replenish the body’s yin to nourish the lungs), and nourish the stomach; rehmannia glutinosa can clear away heat and promote the production of fluids to remove the vexation and stop vomiting; Chuanbei and Zhebei can dissolve phlegm to stop coughing, and remove heat to dissipate the knots, and the Chuanbei is partial to moistening, and the Zhebei is partial to clearing.
Attention to wind-cold cough and cold loose stools (feces thin not shaped) should not take lily. Those with phlegm-dampness and stagnant qi are forbidden to take yuzhu, and those with spleen deficiency and loose stools are advised to take it with caution. Do not take Rehmannia glutinosa if you have deficiency of spleen and stomach (weak and cold spleen and stomach). Shellac should not be used with aconite.
All of the above medicines are effective in clearing the lungs, and can be taken by decoction or infusion as tea. Note that the efficacy of Chinese medicine is not as good as that of decoction, so if you feel unwell, it is recommended that you consult a doctor as soon as possible, do not believe in traditional Chinese medicine, and do not take medicine without authorization.
