The generic name of Gwazi is Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets, Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets work by lowering blood glucose by inhibiting hepatic glucose output, improving insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, and increasing glucose uptake and utilization, and are the first line of medication for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Metformin hydrochloride tablets can be used alone or in combination with other medications when treating type 2 diabetes. When used in patients with type 1 diabetes, combination with insulin may reduce insulin dosage and blood sugar fluctuations.
