Is surgery necessary for a fractured neck of femur?

Femoral neck fracture is a kind of light fracture which belongs to femoral neck fracture, i.e. femoral neck fracture occurs without obvious dislocation, but due to the fact that femoral neck fracture is easy to damage blood vessels, affecting the blood supply to the femoral head, and prone to ischemic necrosis of the femoral head, fracture non-healing and other complications, therefore, it is recommended that femoral neck fracture should be actively operated and treated after a clear diagnosis by the physician. Fractures of the femoral neck can be divided into three categories according to the location of the fracture line: 1. The fracture line is located under the femoral head, the blood supply of the femoral head is obviously damaged, the femoral head is severely ischemic, and the chance of femoral head necrosis is very high. 2. The fracture line is located in the middle of the femoral neck, the femoral head will also have obvious insufficient blood supply, and is prone to ischemic necrosis of the femoral head or non-union of the fracture. 3. The fracture line is located at the line between the femoral neck and the greater and lesser rotors, which has less influence on the blood supply to the femoral head and the fracture is easier to heal. When a fracture of the femoral neck is suspected, the patient should seek medical advice in time and undergo relevant imaging tests such as X-ray examination, etc., so as to make a clear diagnosis and determine the treatment plan after the physical examination combined with the imaging examination by a professional physician, with a view to obtaining the best prognosis.
