Treatment of small ground glass nodules in the lungs

Pulmonary ground glass nodules include mixed ground glass nodules or pure ground glass nodules, small ground glass nodules ≤3mm in diameter, and the management recommendations are as follows: 1, pure ground glass nodules ≤10mm can continue to be observed, and nodules persisting above 10mm are considered for minimally invasive surgery; 2, mixed ground glass nodules with solid components <6mm should continue to be observed, and nodules of 6mm and above are considered for minimally invasive surgery. Small nodules are round or irregular lesions ≤3mm in diameter in the lung, with imaging manifesting as shadows of increased density, either single or multiple, with clear or indistinct borders. Pulmonary ground glass nodules are a type of small pulmonary nodules, which can be divided into the following three categories according to the nodule density: 1) solid nodules, which are all soft tissue density nodules with uniform density, and the blood vessels and bronchial bundles within them are obscured; 2) partially solid nodules, i.e., mixed nodules, which contain both ground glass shadow density and solid soft tissue density with non-uniform density; 3) pure ground glass-like The nodules have a slightly increased density compared to the surrounding lung parenchyma, with blood vessels and bronchial shadow still visible within them.
