What’s Ribotec?

The generic name of Ribotox is Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Liposome Injection, which belongs to a class of chemotherapy drugs. Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Liposome Injection is a sterile, translucent red suspension. This drug is a systemic chemotherapeutic agent that is used to treat a variety of malignant tumors, including acute leukemia, lymphoma, malignant or solid tumors in children as well as adults, and can also be used to treat breast and lung cancer. This drug is also used to treat patients with AIDS-related Kaposi’s sarcoma with extensive cutaneous mucocutaneous visceral disease. Patients who are intolerant to drugs such as vincristine or bleomycin may also be treated with this drug in combination with chemotherapy. It should be noted that this drug should be stored at 2 to 8°C, but care needs to be taken to avoid freezing. When used, it should be diluted with glucose injection, and the already diluted liquid should be stored at 2~8℃ for no more than 24 hours.
