In December 2007, a symposium on vulvovaginal and vaginal diseases was held in Chongqing by the Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and our special correspondent Dr. Yinyan He from the Shanghai First People’s Hospital attended the meeting and interviewed Professor Bian Duhong from Chongqing Medical University on issues related to cervicitis.
Dr. He: Today we are very honored to invite our very famous obstetrician and gynecologist Professor Bian Duhong to our obstetrics and gynecology website, yesterday we listened to Professor Bian talk about a new concept of cervicitis treatment, which is very wonderful, so we would like to interview Professor Bian to continue to explain these issues to us. You think that by now, because cervicitis and lower genital tract infections are the most common, but they are often neglected by obstetricians and gynecologists, what do you think are the latest advances and new ideas in the treatment of cervicitis so far? Ms. Bian? Chen Shuang, Department of Gynecology, Jinzhou Women and Infants Hospital
The actual fact is that you can find a lot of people who are not able to get a good deal on a lot of things. The patient is afraid and the doctor often over-treats it in such a situation, but whether to treat it or not is to treat it when it is accompanied by infection, so it needs to be treated when there is infection, and we can observe it if there is no infection, but there is one point to note, because the cervical area will have an outward migration. The cervical metaplasia is prone to infection, so this is the type of cervical metaplasia that is prone to infection, so if this kind of person is pregnant, we think we should consider earlier, the first child should not be aborted, because if you have an abortion a few years later it has a cervical metaplasia it is prone to infection, after infection it has less chance of pregnancy, recently this kind of We feel that we should try to be cautious with this kind of patients with special cervical mutation, the first fetus, do not do abortion, so these two cases should be said to have infection or treatment, the second is to say that the pregnancy because of its mutation prone to infection, so the pregnancy should be a little early to let her give birth, and later do not care, because the infection again the doll is also born, because once the infection it this The chance of pregnancy will be reduced.
Special correspondent Dr. He: Thank you, Mr. Bian, for explaining to us in such detail the new concept of cervicitis treatment. What misunderstandings do you think exist in our doctors’ work? Or if we meet a patient with cervicitis, how should we have a better process to treat the patient, for example, the least damage to the patient, but the best treatment effect, how do you recommend a better process, or what are the misunderstandings and challenges we encounter in our work?
Professor Bian: Yes, generally speaking, the vulva is actually a sexual organ because of the special nature of the place, it is very close to this small and large diseases, then it is different from the male, there is the monthly menstrual flow, because of these reasons, so it is always moist underneath, it is easy to occur infection, so the first thing we should pay attention to is the prevention knowledge, to the vulva clean Therefore, the first thing we should be aware of is the knowledge of prevention, to clean the vulva, to keep the vulva clean, to keep the vulva dry, to keep it as dry as possible, so that the secretions do not keep infecting the vulva, so that the infection can be prevented, because some secretions, you do not clean it, but you should pay attention to the fact that the vagina generally has a self-cleaning effect, it cleans itself, it has its own internal balance, ecological balance, so the vulva should be clean. But vaginal irrigation is not recommended for normal people, because it leads to many vaginal diseases. What about infection? The second thing is that if the vulva is infected, the prevention of vulvar infections is actually to emphasize that we should not have sexually transmitted diseases, but foreigners have many sexually transmitted diseases. Sexually transmitted diseases are many, as long as the relationship with sexual intercourse are sexually transmitted diseases, such as trichomonas, streptococcus, are called sexually transmitted diseases, but our country is not yet the result of it is considered a sexually transmitted disease, but the scope of sexually transmitted diseases, that is, through sexual relations to spread, but is not the same as a sexually transmitted disease, this should pay attention to this problem, that is, encounter such patients first we have to exclude these sexually transmitted diseases, and then is a sexually transmitted disease. The first thing we need to do is to rule out these sexually transmitted diseases, and then STDs, especially gonorrhea, syphilis, these types we should exclude, so we must usually pay attention to these young women ah, do not have so many sexual partners ah, to pay attention to the sex life, do not be promiscuous, that is, we should pay attention to this point, that is, do not have more sexual partners, then the sexual life of people who do not know ah is best to protect, to wear a condom.
Special correspondent Dr. He: Mr. Bian has given us a lot of valuable experience, can you say a few words to our young doctors?
The second problem is that we often mis-treat, what mis-treatment is that we think that the cervix is good, the cervix looks smooth and there is no disease. In fact, this is not the case. A smooth cervix, a good cervix, and no cervical erosion can still get cancer, so we must do cervical scraping, colposcopy, or biopsy to exclude cancer. If you do not exclude the cancer, the treatment will actually cause the cancer cells to spread through the bloodstream, and as a result, your future treatment will not be effective. Why? It has already spread, and local treatment cannot achieve the goal, and in the end, it is often because of metastasis, the distant metastasis of cancer, so your local treatment is still the death of the patient.
Special correspondent Dr. He: So thank you Mr. Bian for being our guest today, thank you Mr. Bian for sharing so much valuable experience with us and spreading so much valuable knowledge to our young doctors, thank you!
