Erythromycin can be used for synovitis. However, it is limited to use in infected synovitis. 1. Synovitis is usually caused by trauma, infection, tuberculosis, etc. It usually manifests itself as joint swelling, pain, joint effusion and limitation of movement. 2. Mild synovitis can generally be treated conservatively, such as rest and braking and medication. Medications are generally anti-inflammatory and pain relieving. Erythromycin, as an antibiotic, can relieve the infectious inflammation of the joints to a certain extent, but it is only suitable for mild infectious synovitis. Because traumatic synovitis is aseptic synovitis, antibiotic drugs are not recommended. 3. If the synovitis is in the acute stage and there is a lot of fluid, the joint should be punctured to extract the fluid and then injected with glucocorticosteroids. 4. For recurrent and severe synovitis that cannot be relieved by conservative treatment, surgery is needed, and arthroscopic synovectomy can be considered.
