Migraine control

  a. Eliminate mental tension and relaxation.  a. Aerobic training every night (3-4 times/day), let the heart rate reach 100/min and maintain at least 20 minutes. If you can’t or don’t want to participate in physical exercise, you can also use other methods to reduce mental tension, such as watching entertainment and relaxation programs, practicing yoga, tai chi, etc.  b. Eat at least one meal for 8 hours to avoid hypoglycemia, and eat breakfast regularly (including weekends).  c. Maintain regular sleep.  ii. Do not smoke or chew any nicotine-containing products. Patients are advised to quit smoking.  c. Avoid estrogen overdose (oral contraceptives, estrogen supplementation therapy).  If the patient is on estrogen supplementation therapy, contact the OB/GYN to reduce estrogen to the lowest dose and try to maintain it for 3 months.  IV. Pay attention to diet.  All patients should receive a dietary regimen, see the table on the back for diet. Some foods can cause an immediate migraine attack (e.g., red wine), while most foods cause a next-day migraine attack.  V. Keep a diary.  a. Record the headache and the attacks that affect your daily life.  b. Write down anything you ate before the headache.  c. Bring the record with you to the next visit.  VI. Medication.
