Is clear cell carcinoma of the ovary 100% recurrent?

Ovarian clear cell carcinoma does not have 100% recurrence after surgery, and the specific recurrence is mainly related to the stage of disease, surgical status and patient’s physical recovery.

Ovarian clear cell carcinoma is an epithelial malignant tumor caused by abnormal proliferation of epithelial cells in Müllerian ducts, with fast development speed and high malignant degree, which is easy to recur after surgery, but not 100% recurrence. Some patients with early detection, clean surgical resection and good postoperative physical recovery can achieve clinical cure status without recurrence and metastasis during subsequent regular review.

Once ovarian clear cell carcinoma is detected in the clinic, early hospitalization is necessary, and the probability of recurrence and metastasis can be minimized by radical surgical resection at an early stage and control by adjuvant radiotherapy (cisplatin, etc.).
