If the hamstring is attached, the patient will not have a limp as long as he/she is actively performing functional exercises in the later stages. Therefore, after a patient has a hamstring fracture, he must actively consult the doctor and undergo surgical anastomosis treatment. After surgery, the patient should be immobilized with plaster or brace for four weeks to create conditions for the recovery of hamstring rupture, and after four weeks, the immobilization can be withdrawn, and the patient should perform toe and ankle flexion/extension exercises and light weight-bearing activities on the ground. After restoring the flexion and extension function of toes and ankles and the muscle strength of the lower limbs through functional exercises, normal walking activities can be resumed, so there will be no limp in walking. If the functional exercise is not good, there are stiffness of toes and ankles and limitation of dorsiflexion and extension, as well as atrophy of leg muscles, limp will appear when walking in this case.
