Intestinal polyps are best resected, not that they have to be resected, but according to the size of the comprehensive judgment. Because intestinal polyps have the possibility of malignancy, so for safety reasons, it is best to find polyps in time to remove and send pathology examination. Intestinal polyps are divided into tumor polyps and non-tumor polyps, of which the malignant rate of non-tumor polyps is very low, but the malignant rate of tumor polyps for adenomatous polyps is higher, including tubular adenomas, choriocarpous adenomas, choriocarpous tubular adenomas. The malignancy rate of adenomatous polyps up to 2 cm in diameter has been reported to be 50%. The smaller the polyp, the lower the malignancy rate. Intestinal polyps are usually found during colonoscopy. Therefore, to be on the safe side, it is best to remove polyps when they are found and send them for pathologic examination. If it is benign, just remove the polyp; if it is malignant, further examination and treatment is needed. If the patient has a family history of bowel cancer or intestinal polyps, it is recommended to remove the polyp as much as possible.
