Signs and symptoms of allergic rhinitis in babies

Symptoms and manifestations of allergic rhinitis in babies usually include itchy nose, sneezing, runny nose and nasal congestion.
1. Itchy nose: allergic rhinitis will induce the body to produce an allergic reaction, causing irritation to the local tissues, and the patient is prone to itchy nose. Sometimes there may also be itching of the soft palate, eyes and pharynx.
2. Sneezing: many babies also experience paroxysmal sneezing when suffering from allergic rhinitis. As few as 3~5 or as many as a dozen.
3. Runny nose: during the illness, the baby may have a watery nose, which is also related to the allergic reaction, causing irritation to the local mucous membrane, resulting in increased secretions.
4. Nasal congestion: allergic reaction can lead to severe edema of the patient’s nasal mucosa, which in turn leads to the blockage of the nasal cavity, and the symptoms of nasal congestion can occur.
