How to calculate heart rate on an EKG

Depending on whether the heart rhythm is regular or not, the choice is based on the number of seconds of the RR interval on the ECG, or counting the number of heart beats for 6 seconds and then multiplying by 6.
1. regular heart rhythm: the general speed of the ECG is 25mm/s, a small frame on the ECG is 0.04 seconds, a large frame is 0.2 seconds, first measure a RR or PP interval seconds, heart rate = 60/RR or PP interval seconds. 3 large frames are 100 beats/minute, 4 large frames are 75 beats/minute, 5 large frames are 60 beats/minute.
2. Heart rhythm irregularity: ECG is a square composed of 5 small squares, a small square of time for 0.2 seconds, 5 small squares for 1 second, 6 seconds of continuous counting, a total of 6 seconds in 6 seconds, how many RR waves is the number of heartbeats in 6 seconds, multiplied by 10 to be able to calculate the number of heartbeats in 1 minute.
In addition, you can also use the checklist, heart rate ruler, etc. to calculate the heart rate. Normal heart rate is 60~100 beats, if there is any abnormality in the heart rate, you can consult a specialist in time.
