A piece of round ball falling out from the inside of the ear may be a foreign body in the external auditory canal, cerumen in the external auditory canal and other possibilities.
1. Foreign body in the external auditory canal: some relatively small round foreign bodies may fall into the external auditory canal unintentionally, because the characteristics of the foreign body did not cause obvious symptoms and were not detected in time. Inadvertently, the foreign body falls out of the ear by itself and is only discovered by the patient.
2. Cerumen in the external auditory canal: Generally, cerumen belongs to the dynamic equilibrium process. If the cerumen is overproduced, or if the ear is filled with water, which makes it difficult to drain the cerumen, the cerumen will be blocked. Cerumen may be in the form of flakes, lumps, globules, etc.. Cerumen may fall out on its own and be detected, or it may need to be cleaned out further if it becomes blocked and cannot be removed.
There are other reasons why a piece of round ball falls out of the ear. It is recommended to go to the hospital in time to improve the otoscopy and other examinations to clarify the cause of the problem and target treatment.
