The probability of a positive HPV type 18 turning negative is 80%, and the vast majority will turn negative after about 1 year, but persistent infection will occur in 20% of cases, so enough attention should be paid to high-risk HPV type 18 infections. Colposcopy is recommended to exclude epithelial lesions, and if there are no lesions, regular review is needed to strengthen the body so that the high-risk HPV infection may turn negative. Also, don’t treat blindly with drugs because so far no drug has been found which is effective for high-risk HPV infection. It is important to review regularly and if lesions are found, it is recommended to give appropriate treatment to eliminate the occurrence of cervical cancer.
