Why does a long erection hurt

Long-term erection pain may be a normal physiological phenomenon, or it may be caused by penile sclerosis, phimosis and other pathological reasons.
1. Normal physiological phenomenon: prolonged erection, gonadal secretion without ejaculation, can lead to testicles, epididymis, spermatic cord and other prolonged swelling and thickening, swelling and pain, usually after the discharge of ejaculation, the symptoms will be gradually relieved and return to normal.
2. Pathologic causes:
(1) penile sclerosis: patients due to localized fibrosis of the penis, the formation of sclerosis changes, affecting the bending of the penis, which can be caused by penile bending during prolonged erection, leading to the emergence of painful symptoms.
(2) Phimosis: when the patient has phimosis, as the foreskin will be embedded in the surface of the glans, it can form local narrowing symptoms during prolonged erection, which can lead to symptoms such as penile ischemia and pain.
Prolonged erection will be painful, after excluding physiological reasons, need to go to the regular hospital in time to do the relevant examination and treatment.
