Symptoms of inflammation of the jawbone

Inflammation of jawbone usually manifests as jawbone pain, fever, facial swelling, restricted opening, loose teeth, etc. It is usually categorized into acute stage and chronic stage.
1. Acute inflammation of jawbone:
(1) Local symptoms: the affected side of the teeth and the same side of the jawbone is persistent severe pain, facial pain is radioactive, often accompanied by acute cellulitis of the oral and maxillofacial region, manifested as redness and swelling of the vestibular sulcus, facial redness and swelling, loosening of the teeth, periodontal pus overflow, limited opening of the mouth, numbness of the lower lip and other symptoms;
(2) Systemic symptoms: at this time, the symptoms are more obvious, the onset of acute, severe pain, manifested as elevated body temperature, headache, as well as increased leukocytes, and in severe cases, there may be localized pus, or localized fistulae and discharge of pus to the outside.
2. Chronic inflammation of the jawbone:
(1) Local symptoms: local fibrous tissue hyperplasia, appearing hard, swelling, forming fistula, repeated overflow. In the lesion area, there may be multiple teeth loosening, and in severe cases, pathologic fracture may occur.
(2) Systemic symptoms: pain relief, systemic symptoms are no longer obvious, in addition, there will be loss of appetite, wasting, anemia and other symptoms.
