Lumbar disc herniation is a common clinical condition, and there are currently two main types of treatment: surgical and non-surgical. Conservative treatment methods are not uniform from hospital to hospital or the unidimensionality of treatment, with inaccurate efficacy and high recurrence rate, thus leading to an increasing rate of surgical treatment. However, surgical treatment is highly traumatic, risky, and has many complications, and can result in reduced stability of adjacent vertebrae, which can easily cause secondary lesions. In addition, the cost of surgery is increasing, ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 yuan per case depending on the procedure, and the high cost of medical treatment discourages many patients. For the basic pathology of lumbar disc herniation, we adopt a combination of intra-vertebral canal and extra-vertebral canal treatment, using the four-linked paralysis technology, i.e., the sacral canal injection technology directly injects drugs into the herniated nucleus pulposus to eliminate inflammation in the spinal canal and promote the repair of damaged nerves; the external application of localized drugs relaxes the tendons and improves the blood circulation of the spine to release the spasm of the paravertebral muscles and relieve back and leg pain; the tendons and spinal manipulation adjusts the spine Biomechanics, correction of spinal small joint disorders, restoration of spinal mechanical balance; for long history, or recurrence after surgery, stiffness of the lumbar back muscles, and serious disorders of spinal balance, intensive silver needle technology can be added; supplemented by the whole dynamic lumbar back muscle and abdominal muscle functional exercise to strengthen the stability of the spine and prevent recurrence of lumbar disc herniation. The combination of the four techniques can achieve the effect of treating the symptoms (eliminating nerve root inflammation) and the root cause (restoring the biomechanical balance of the spine). This technology is further developed on the basis of the “85” scientific and technological research project of the army in the early 1990s “Research on the mechanism of manipulation for lumbar intervertebral disc herniation”, and has nearly 30 years of clinical experience. In the past 30 years, there has not been a single case of serious complications and side effects in the sacral treatment technique. With the combined use of the four techniques, the efficiency of treatment is as high as over 95%, the clinical cure rate is 85%, and the recurrence rate is only 7%. The external application of Chinese medicine and manipulation are convenient; the exercise method for lumbar back and abdominal muscles is simple and easy to implement, and patients can practice it daily at home, which is easy to adhere to.
