Can Cervical Insufficiency be Improved by Exercise?

Cervical insufficiency cannot be improved by exercise. If cervical insufficiency occurs, it can be treated by methods such as cervical cerclage.
Cervical insufficiency is also called endocervical laxity. The endocervical opening is mainly made of fibrous connective tissue with less muscle tissue, and exercise can only exercise the muscle, so exercise cannot improve cervical insufficiency. Cervical insufficiency can lead to the opening of the endocervix, which in turn can lead to miscarriage or preterm labor. Therefore, if cervical insufficiency is detected on examination, it should be treated as early as possible.
If cervical insufficiency occurs before the 28th week of pregnancy, cervical cerclage can be used to preserve the fetus. If cervical insufficiency occurs after the 28th week of pregnancy, dexamethasone can be used to promote the maturation of the fetal lungs before termination of the pregnancy because the fetus has already reached its first stage of maturity.
If you are suffering from cervical insufficiency, please follow your doctor’s instructions for treatment.
