Can varicose veins be cured?

Varicose veins cannot be cured, but patients can improve their discomfort and quality of life through treatment. Clinically, varicose veins are categorized as varicose veins of the lower extremities, varicose veins of the spermatic cord, and varicose veins of the gastric fundus and esophagus. Usually, patients with varicose veins who are actively treated can effectively relieve their discomfort and improve their quality of life, but it is difficult to cure the disease because it is prone to recurrence. If the patient is not actively treated, the condition may worsen and the prognosis may be poor or even life-threatening. For varicose veins of the lower limbs, the lack of active treatment may cause lower limb movement disorders; while the lack of active treatment of varicose veins of the spermatic cord may cause infertility, which needs to be taken seriously; and the lack of active treatment of varicose veins of the fundus of the esophagus may lead to frequent bleeding of the affected area. Different treatment programs are often chosen for different types of varicose veins. For example, patients with varicose veins of the lower limbs should avoid wearing tight pants, coughing, sitting and standing for a long time, scratching the skin and so on. It is recommended that people with varicose veins actively cooperate with the doctor in order to promote the recovery of the body’s health. Attention to regular medical review, in order to adjust the treatment program according to the changes in the condition.
