How to avoid morning erections

Morning erection can be divided into physiological and pathological conditions, the former generally do not need to intervene, while the latter need to be treated with appropriate drugs, surgery and other treatments, the specific diagnosis and treatment must follow the doctor’s instructions.
1. Physiological conditions: Adolescent or adult males can have a natural erection in the morning in an unconscious state, called “morning erection”, which can be restored after a period of time on its own and is not accompanied by other discomforts, belonging to the normal physiological phenomenon and does not require special treatment.
2. Pathological conditions: If the morning erection is abnormal, such as lasting too long (more than 3 or 4 hours), accompanied by pain, etc., we need to consider the possibility of pathological conditions, need to consult a doctor as soon as possible to find out the cause, and then carry out the corresponding targeted treatment, the treatment is mainly divided into symptomatic treatment and treatment of the cause.
(1) symptomatic treatment: for abnormal erection commonly used ① drug treatment: such as sedatives (such as diazepam), vasodilators (such as Tolazoline), estrogen (such as ethyl estradiol) and other drugs; ② surgical treatment: such as penile cavernous – urethral cavernous shunt, the head of the penis – penile cavernous shunt and other surgical procedures.
(2) Treatment of the cause: abnormal erection can exist in sickle cell anemia, syphilis, spinal cord injury and other primary diseases, diagnosed need to deal with the cause. For example, sickle cell anemia requires blood transfusion, bone marrow transplantation, etc. Syphilis requires penicillin and other drugs for anti-syphilis spirochete treatment.
Morning erection performance does not necessarily need intervention, if there is not adaptive timely medical treatment, identify the causes under the guidance of the doctor for treatment, do not blindly judgment, self-disposal, in order to avoid improper intervention, resulting in adverse consequences.
