What are the symptoms of ADHD that parents are concerned about? The main symptom in the early stage of hyperactivity and obscurity syndrome is multiple twitching, generally first on the face, gradually to the upper extremities, trunk or lower extremities, showing eye muscles, facial muscles, neck muscles or upper limb muscles repeated rapid irregular twitching, motor spasms, such as blinking eyes, pouting, frowning, twitching nose, making faces, shaking head, nodding neck extension and shrugging shoulders, etc.. The symptoms are aggravated by explosive involuntary movements of the limbs and trunk, such as throwing movements of the upper limbs, circling, kicking, foot stubbing, bending and twisting movements of the trunk, etc. The twitching is frequent and can reach more than ten or even hundreds of times a day, and is aggravated by emotional and mental stress. It is aggravated by emotion and stress, and is reduced when the mind is relaxed and disappears when sleeping. Another characteristic of the disease is the occurrence of spasms. 30%-40% of children with the disease make repetitive, explosive, meaningless monotonous abnormal guttural sounds, such as barking, growling, heaving, pinpricks and laryngeal sounds, as well as clicking, squeaking, and crunching, due to laryngeal muscle twitching. Some affected children unconsciously and stereotypically utter curses and swear words and vulgar and obscene language. Obscene language disorder imitates other people’s language and actions, imitates and language imitates actions and often repeats words or short words to repeat language, 85% of children have mild to moderate behavioral disorders, and the milder ones show restlessness and agitation. Half of the children have ADHD with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, inattention, poor learning, hyperactivity, distractibility and fidgeting. Some children have compulsive behaviors such as repeated hand washing and checking door locks, as well as self-harming behaviors such as severe nail biting, hair pulling, nose picking, lip biting or tongue biting. Sensory spasms, such as pressure, itch, heat and cold, excessive provocation and violent behavior may occur. Sometimes there is a decrease in learning ability, difficulty in reading writing and composing, and even inability to complete normal schooling. Learning is associated with ADHD, and the child has some control to suppress involuntary twitching for several minutes or longer. Examination usually does not reveal other abnormal signs, and the course of the disease has remission and relapse. The above is for reference only.
