Recognizing percutaneous discectomy and aspiration

Lumbar disc herniation is a common and frequent disease. Patients have to endure severe pain in the lower back and lower limbs, unable to live and work normally, and even left with disabilities. There are many ways to treat the disease at home and abroad at present, but all of them are unsatisfactory. The efficacy of non-surgical treatment is very low, and there are often recurrences; traditional surgical treatment efficacy has been improved, but the implementation of larger surgery, injury, still unsatisfactory. And 15%-25% of the ineffective, there are still some complications or deterioration, serious complications can lead to lifelong paraplegia. Percutaneous perforation lumbar disc excision and suction is a new method of treating disc herniation in recent years. The incision of this method is 0.5 cm, with minimal trauma, fast recovery, little or no bleeding, so it is extremely safe and has satisfactory therapeutic effect. The surgery does not pass through the spinal canal and has the same effect as traditional surgery. This surgery locates the lesion site under the TV monitoring of X-ray machine, places the hollow core cannula through the skin at the posterior lateral side of the intervertebral disc precisely in the intervertebral disc, removes the nucleus pulposus tissue from the intervertebral disc through the cannula, and then uses the negative pressure rotary cutting device to cut up the residual part and suction it out, so as to relieve the pain symptom produced by nerve compression and cure lumbar intervertebral disc herniation. Since 1986 in China, after many medical workers implementation, observation and statistics, confirmed that lumbar intervertebral disc cutting and suction is indeed a safe, effective and good method. We summarize more than ten years of treatment experience, and strictly select the indications for surgery, so that the lumbar disc excision and suction surgery of the excellent rate of 92%, significantly higher than the statistics. No serious sequelae have been found in the ineffective cases.
