Ornidazole Injection is anti-microbial and works to treat infections caused by sensitive bacteria. Ornidazole Injection is a nitroimidazole derivative that interacts with cellular components to induce microbial death, and is indicated for the treatment of severe amebiasis of the intestinal tract or liver, post-surgical infections caused by susceptible anaerobic organisms, or for the prevention of surgically-induced infections caused by susceptible anaerobic organisms, in persons with proven susceptible bacterial infections for whom oral administration of this medication is contraindicated.
