If the stools are greenish in color and not in shape, it is related to the following factors: First, whether it is related to the food consumed, such as whether the patient has eaten too much green vegetables or animal offal, pig’s blood, sheep’s blood, as well as too many meat products, which leads to indigestion and produces a change in the color of the stools and the shape of the stools. Secondly, whether it is related to the intake of some drugs, such as bismuth and iron preparations, may also appear stool color and shape changes. Third, whether there are gastrointestinal diseases, such as whether the patient has gastrointestinal bleeding, there may be green, tarry stools, considered to be caused by gastrointestinal ulcers or acute inflammatory bleeding. Fourth, the patient may have poor digestive function of the gastrointestinal tract, there is a poor digestive function, resulting in changes in the color and character of the stool. Fifth, there is a relationship with the imbalance of intestinal flora. Therefore, if the color and character of stools are abnormal, it is recommended that the patient go to the hospital for a stool test and enteroscopy if necessary.
