Do young people need to be alert for stomach cancer?

Many people think that gastric cancer is a disease of middle-aged and elderly people, but this is not the case in reality. Many domestic hospitals and our own clinical reports show that young people under 35 years of age account for about 8% to 10% of all gastric cancers. In fact, many young gastric cancer patients are often diagnosed at a relatively late stage, which is mainly related to their own paralysis and lack of timely medical examination. Young gastric cancer has the following characteristics: 1. relatively high malignant degree: this is mainly for the pathological characteristics of the tumor. Most of the young gastric cancers are low differentiated adenocarcinoma and indolent cell carcinoma, the proportion of which is higher than that of older gastric cancer patients. 2.Many misdiagnosis and omission: Many people often think they have gastritis or indigestion, and in some cases, even after gastroscopy, they may not be able to detect the traces of gastric cancer. 3. High proportion of female compared with older gastric cancer: the proportion of female in young gastric cancer often accounts for 60%. 4.More likely to eat late night snacks and pickled food. 5. Rapid progress and extensive metastasis. It is reported that more than 50% of young people with gastric cancer have distant metastatic lesions, and up to 60%~80% of them can feel the lump in the abdomen. Therefore, we have the following advice for young people: 1. Young people should pay attention to their gastric problems when attending medical checkups. 2, has suffered from chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer and other diseases of young men and women, to carry out regular medical drug treatment and regular re-examination. 3, young women who have abnormal “pregnancy reaction”, also need to pay more attention to do tests to exclude malignant lesions of the stomach.
